2019 FALL BREAKOUT GROUPS
FACILITATORS: TODD HINDSMAN & MIKE NIEMI| ROOM 311
Parenting is a big job. It is about making disciples of our children where they know what it is to know Jesus, to love Jesus, to walk faithfully with Him daily and to invest their lives and the truth of God’s Word into others. We will be looking at the overall goals of parenting in a very interactive format where we will dialogue and dig into the Word together to grow in our pursuit of being godly dads.
FACILITATORS: BARBARA HILL, TINA NIEMI & ALLYCIA TAYLOR| ROOM 301

FACILITATOR: MISTY SOSEBEE-LEDBETTER | ROOM 310A
Missed the training? Or were you at the training and you desire to help MeadowBrook be on the frontlines against abuse? In this breakout, you will be trained at a slower pace with discussion as to how you could join in the fight against abuse in our church and community.
Caring for the Fatherless
FACILITATORS: DANIEL DOAK & HEATH SIMMONS | ROOM 302
God instructs us all to care for the fatherless, but obedience to that mandate can take place in many different ways. Whether you desire to adopt, foster, or minister in other ways, this breakout group is a perfect place to ask questions and see how you can be involved. We’ll cover the best ways to support these kids, what is involved in foster care, and how to approach both domestic and international adoption. Each week you will hear from different people and their stories about how God led them to care for the fatherless.
You Are What You Read
FACILITATOR: KAREN ADAMS | ROOM 312A
Reading the right books has tremendous power and can be used by God to shape individuals into the image of Christ. However, there are many books out there. Some are good. Some are not. In this breakout group, you will be introduced to four books worth reading that God could use to impact your spiritual growth in a powerful way.
Blended Family Life
GUEST FACILITATOR: JOEL HAWBAKER | ROOM 306
Living in a blended family can be difficult to navigate at times. In this breakout group, we will discuss how to approach your situation with a gospel-centered mindset, sharing biblical wisdom that applies to you along the way.
How to Study a Book of the Bible
FACILITATOR: HUNTER HINDSMAN | ROOM 308 A&B
In this breakout, you will be equipped with the tools and directed to resources that will help you to study a book of the Bible in depth. We will look at the book of Jonah as a test case throughout the breakout group. This group will have in-class demonstration and at-home application that will challenge you as you study God’s word.
