Being Christian: Ministering as a Christian

Ministering as a Christian

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.(1 Peter 4:10-11 ESV)

All glory and dominion belong to God

Our purpose is to glorify God through Jesus Christ

God provides his varied grace through gifts to every Christian

Gifts are the means for Christians in the local church to exercise God’s grace to others

Contemplate serving people with gifts of words

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.(Colossians 4:6 ESV) Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29 ESV)

Contemplate serving people with gifts of deeds

God calls us to manage his gifts and grace well
