Walking with Wisdom and Purity

Walking with Wisdom and Purity

Proverbs is written to dissuade his son and others from walking down the same foolish pathways of destruction that Solomon walked. This seems probable in light of Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.

Every person’s life will end on earth, and then they will be before God.

Because Solomon didn’t live life in the world with his eternal life in mind, he sought meaning and purpose in all of the wrong places and ways. See Ecclesiastes 12:1-8.

Life originates from God and concludes before him.

Solomon’s Regret

Solomon’s Wisdom

This spiritual battle for people and their souls is evident in Proverbs 5-7.

Two Voices are spoken: 1) Jesus: Truth and Wisdom yielding life, 2) Satan: Lies and folly yielding death. Our call is to be attentive to Wisdom, listen to Jesus.

Watching pornography, sexting, reading romance novels, watching racy movies, being involved in an affair, having sexual experiences with the same sex, and pleasuring yourself by fantasies botches God’s way for a man and woman to come together in a lifelong covenant of marriage, illustrating the beauty and purity of the gospel.

Fostering Sexual Purity
