Costa Rica Recap

Thank you for your prayers and support of the 2026 August Costa Rica Mission Trip. Our summer partnership with Gaby & Jose Prado of Hope Ministries consists of coming alongside their Mother’s Day outreach events. The country celebrates Mother’s Day for one week at the end of August. 

Hope Ministries partners with a local church in Alajuelita who ministers to Nicaraguan Refugees. Meadowbrook helped to host a Mother’s Day service by providing lunch, a children’s Bible class, breakout sessions teaching life skills such as sewing, CPR and first aid, lead in worship and shared a devotional to the moms at the event. 

Similarly, our MeadowBrook team came alongside Hope Ministries as they hosted Mothers Day celebrations at their own church Iglesia Bautista Esperanza in San Jose. Our team led a women’s conference teaching about being anchored in gratitude, hosted a family conference leading devotionals for mothers, teaching breakout sessions of sewing, survival skills, led in worship, taught photography sessions, served meals and provided Bible teaching for children and teens. 

The trip ended with a Mothers Day service on Sunday where we worshipped and studied Gods word with our global church family. What a blessing to serve with our brothers and sisters in Christ from Central America!
