Fall Breakout Groups at MeadowBrook

This fall, MeadowBrook’s breakout groups are designed to help you take practical steps toward growing in your faith, strengthening your family, and living out the mission God has given His church. Whether you want to better understand Scripture, become more confident as a parent, learn biblical principles for managing finances, discover where you can serve, or become equipped to disciple someone else, there is a place for you.

Life Verses: Lights to Our Paths will focus on passages of Scripture that contain truths we can carry with us throughout every season of life. Based on the truth of Psalm 119 that God’s Word is “a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,” this group will explore how understanding and internalizing key passages allows the Spirit to guide and sustain us, particularly when the path ahead feels uncertain.

For parents, Parenting with Confidence will address the fear and uncertainty that can come with raising children in a chaotic culture. Designed for parents of children from preschool through high school, this study will examine cultural messages that influence the way we parent and contrast those messages with the truth of God’s Word. The goal is to help parents replace fear with confidence by establishing their families on a firm biblical foundation. A workbook is available for $15.

Young adults and those who invest in them can join What Does the Bible Say About ____? Six Conversations for and with Young Adults. This group will tackle real questions submitted by MeadowBrook young adults and look to Scripture for answers. Whether you are navigating young adulthood yourself or are a parent, leader, mentor, or friend to a young adult, these conversations will help equip you to think biblically about some of the most important questions facing young adults today.

Finances God’s Way – Beyond the Basics will take a biblical and practical look at money and stewardship. Scripture reminds us that everything we have has been entrusted to us by God. This breakout will explore what God’s Word says about money, how Christians should manage the resources entrusted to them, and practical steps that can lead toward greater financial health.

If you are looking for your place to serve, Ministry Connections is designed to help you discover how God has uniquely created you and how you can use those gifts as part of the MeadowBrook faith family. Participants will learn about opportunities to engage more deeply in ministry and missions on our campus, throughout our local community, and through MeadowBrook’s global partnerships.

Finally, How to Disciple Someone will provide practical training for one of the most fundamental responsibilities of following Christ: making disciples. Jesus entrusted His followers with the mission of making disciples, and the church continues that work today through Spirit-empowered believers. While discipling another person can sometimes feel intimidating, this breakout is designed to make that calling practical and approachable. Participants will learn foundational principles of disciple-making and receive training in MeadowBrook’s new step-by-step tool for one-on-one discipleship. Our prayer is that this training will help spark a disciple-making movement throughout our church that bears fruit for generations to come.
